Cold water beneficial bacteria is specially formulated to work in colder water to help improve pond water quality during the winter months. Also add it to your pond in the early spring to kick start the pond and establish a biological balance.
You can use rainwater to fill your pond, but keep in mind that it is very soft water. If you primarily use rainwater, be sure to check your pH regularly because it could become too low and cause serous problems.
