4" Aerated Heavy Duty Koi Pond Bottom Drain - OPEN BOX

This is an open box item. It is new, unused and has been thoroughly checked to make sure it is 100% complete.

Bottom drains enhance water quality by improving water circulation and automatically removing debris such as fish waste, uneaten fish food, algae etc. from the bottom of the pond before it builds into a layer of sludge and muck. As water is drawn into the drain, it automatically vacuums the bottom of the pond.

Aerated bottom drains are more efficient at cleaning the bottom than regular bottom drains because the added current produced by the aeration disc draws debris into the drain from a greater distance.

4" Aerated Koi Pond Bottom Drain Features:

  • Welded FPT threaded inlet eliminates the need for rubber coupling
  • Threaded center stand pipe securely attaches dome lid to base
  • Sixteen stainless screws securely attach liner ring to base with water tight seal
  • Heavy duty, roto-molded design offers superior strength
  • Threaded 4" female inlet for use with 4" schedule 40 PVC fittings and pipe
  • Air diffuser is incorporated into the dome lid - incoming air is delivered up through the center stand pipe allowing air tubing to be installed under liner
  • 1/2" airline tubing adapter, recommended air flow through diffuser is .5 - 1.5 cfm

Daily Pond Tip

Ammonia is one of the most common killers of fish. It is the main waste product produced by fish and can become dangerously high from overfeeding, spawning, inadequate filtration or over crowding.
