This is a Select Mix of 35-40 cm Japanese koi from the breeder Marushu. This ‘Select Mix’ of Nisai (2 year old) koi are hand picked by the breeder so you know they are excellent quality.

Marusho Koi Farm is owned by Abe Toshio. It isn’t a typical set up fro a koi breeder, in fact he actually operates it from an old converted barn that was used for making saki, rather than a fish house. They produce hi quality Goshiki, Ginrin Goshiki, Kohaku, Tancho Kohaku, Sanke, Showa and Matsuwabake.
Marushu is also part of NND (Nishikigoi Niigata Direct Ltd), which is a collaboration of 3 breeders. Marushu, Kobayashi and Oomo have joined forces, sharing koi houses, mud ponds and equipment for better efficiency.
