Kanezo Koi Farm is now operated by Tadashi Kobayashi in the Kamibayashi area. Tadashi is the son of Kaneichi Kobayashi who originally founded the farm. Kanezo is a relatively small farm, so they concentrate their efforts on producing only a few varieties of high quality koi. They are very well regarded for their excellent Showa, Tancho Sanke and Shiro Utsuri. The ‘Kobayashi Showa’ bloodline, known for their excellent patterns and deep colour, is often used by other breeders.
