ClearLake cold water pond clarifier

What is ClearLake Cold Water Clarifier

ClearLake Cold Water Clarifier is a blend of naturally occurring beneficial bacteria designed to work in conjunction with the natural bacteria and enzymes found in your pond. However, this highly concentrated formula contains billions of psychrophilic (adapted to grow in cold temperatures) beneficial bacteria that digest organics in your pond, improving water quality and clarifying water in temperatures as low as  35 F / 1.7 C. Adding ClearLake Cold Water Clarifier supercharges your pond’s ability to combat excess nutrients and break down leaves, twigs and other organic matter in cold water and reduces the chances of algae blooms when the water warms up.

Ideally ClearLake Cold Water clarifier should be used when water temperatures are between 35 – 50 F / 1.7 – 10 C, when typical pond clarifiers are inactive. Perfect for early spring application to kick start your pond for clean clear water during the summer months. Then treat again in the fall to help break down and digest excess organic matter that has accumulated during the summer as well as any tree leaves that have fallen in to the pond late in the season.

Features:

  • Cleans & Clears Entire Water Column in cold water
  • Most Effective At Temperatures Below 50°F/10°C
  • Reduces Harmful Organic Material
  • 100% Safe & All-Natural

Benefits of Early Spring Use

Get the Upper Hand on Clarity and Water Quality This Season

ClearLake Cold Water Clarifier is most effective in water temperatures between 32 F – 50 F / 1.7 C – 10 C, making it perfect for early spring application. Get a head start on clearing your pond water and digesting last autumn’s fallen leaves and twigs by applying your first application right after the ice melts from the surface. Even in the frigid water, the cold loving bacteria will go to work digesting accumulated leaves and twigs and improving water quality. ClearLake Cold Water Clarifier also cleans and clears the entire water column improving the look and health of your pond.

Cold Water Clarifier is especially effective for ponds that have high volume springs that add cold groundwater to the pond all year long, keeping the water temperature cool even in the summer.

Benefits:

  • Start treating your pond weeks or months earlier
  • Digest organics and clarifies ponds in cold water
  • Reduce the likelihood of algae blooms when the water warms up

Cold Water Clarifier is available in 2 convenient sizes. The 8 lb pail contains 16 bags/packs and the 24 lb pail contains 48 bags/packs.  Each 8 oz dose is conveniently packaged in water-soluble bags for easy application. Simply toss the appropriate number of bags for your pond into the water and let the bacteria go to work.

Proactive Fall Use

Combats Excess Nutrients Even During Winter

Autumn can be a difficult and frustrating time of year for pond owners. You’ve worked hard all summer to maintain your pond and kept it looking great … but then the tree leaves fall and quickly sink to the bottom. These leaves, twigs and branches are often very difficult to remove and if left in the pond, they add unwanted organic matter that will eventually contribute to poor water quality and clarity.

Luckily, you can proactively treat your pond with ClearLake Cold Water Clarifier in the fall to help digest leaves and other organic matter, making spring maintenance much easier by minimizing the amount of decaying matter left in your pond.

Benefits:

  • Leave your pond in good shape for next spring
  • Digests leaves & twigs from trees and shrubs
  • Digest organic matter  – dead algae, decaying aquatic plants and fish waste
  • Cleans and clears the entire water column
  • Maintains water quality & clarity in near freezing water temperatures
