Traditionally, it has been very difficult to provide filtration for large ponds. The sheer volume of water and lack of properly sized equipment has made impractical to install adequate filtration on large natural ponds.
Now with Aquascape Wetland Filter System, an effective and scalable biological filtration system can be installed to improve water clarity, water quality for fish and other wildlife and reduce algae blooms.

A wetland works just like a biological filter, but instead of creating a waterfall; it creates an area in your pond thick with naturally-filtering plants, as well as rocks and gravel, which provide a surface for bacterial colonization … nature’s perfect filters. So a wetland, while naturally beautiful and pleasing to the eye, is a great filtration method, and will help keep your water looking crystal clear.
Koi Clay also helps to clarify pond water. Koi clay acts as a natural flocculent, causing suspended particles that cloud pond water to be bound up and eventually filtered out of the pond, resulting in a ‘polished’ clear pond.
If you have fish in your pond, always have a backup pump or aerator operating. If your main pump ever fails, having a backup will maintain adequate oxygen levels until you can replace it.
