New Solar Pond Pumps With Optional Battery Backup

Futuristic glass technology allows to transform the concept of slot machines

British touch screen and glass processing expert Zytronic has created a new futuristic gaming concept for casinos and bars that includes "floating" components that are invisibly powered by NSG TEC conductive glass.

The ElectroglaZ gaming concept consists of a single vertical sheet of laminated glass that wirelessly powers a variety of built-in devices, including a 21.5-inch non-conductive touchscreen LCD monitor for player interaction, an inductive phone charger, a USB port for connecting additional devices and a proprietary programmable LED display.

The coated glass acts like a wire, transmitting energy only through contact, creating the effect that devices are free to "float" inside the optically transparent panel.

According to information published on betting sites in zambia,it was reported that The gaming concept was recently presented at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, the world's largest casino gaming trade event, where it received considerable interest from slot machine developers.

To create the ElectroglaZ device, Zytronic laminated two layers of transparent, electrically conductive NSG TEC™ glass. Electricity enters the glass through a hidden connection around its perimeter, through the conductive glass lamination and through holes and contact pads to the touch screen and other devices.

Zytronic primarily designs and manufactures highly reliable projection capacitive touch screens for self-service and industrial applications. With over 20 years of experience, the company also supplies custom touch screens used by many of the world's leading slot machine manufacturers.

Dr. Andrew Morrison, Zytronic's technical director, said: "The gaming business is one of the fastest growing markets in the world, where both players and product developers are always looking to try innovative and futuristic new technologies. Using wireless power transmission, Zytronic is revolutionizing the look and feel of traditional slot machines to enhance the gaming experience.

"The ElectroglaZ concept we created represents just one possible configuration of the technology. Devices such as speakers, sensors, cameras and microphones could be organically integrated, and data would be transmitted via Wi-Fi modules powered by glass to create a truly transparent and immersive gaming experience without the visual distraction of ugly power cables."

NSG Group's Aderlan Vitalino said: "Zytronic uses the unique properties of NSG TEC to realize new futuristic entertainment concepts. The glass surface is highly durable and easy to erase, making it ideal for high-touch surfaces such as slot machine surfaces.

"The technology has enormous potential and can transmit energy to a virtually infinite number of electronic devices. The result is aesthetically exciting, futuristic-looking design possibilities with applications in many major sectors of the Zytronic market. We look forward to seeing the variety of interesting design possibilities and industry applications yet to be envisioned."

Zytronic is also working with Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, a member of the NSG Group, to process other products, including Pilkington Optiwhite™ for use in its touchscreens.

Recently, NSG Group collaborated with product design studio Cohda to help them create other glass applications that power devices through NSG TEC without the use of wires.

NSG TEC has a wide range of applications in addition to wireless power delivery, including glass heating for commercial refrigeration applications, touch screens, automotive displays and dashboards, digital displays and digital signage.
