This Backwash Air Kit injects air into the bottom of the filter prior to backwashing and vigorously agitates the Biomatrix filter media, Stubborn, hard to get rid of waste in your biological media is loosened, resulting in a more thorough cleaning and better filter performance. Clean your filter without the hassle of opening up the canister.
