Broad Spectrum Disease Control - 32 oz by Microbe Lift ML-BSDT32

Microbe Lift Broad Spectrum Diease Control -32 oz. treats 9600 gallons.

Microbe Lift Broad Spectrum Disease Control is a combination of two powerful medications which have proven effective in the control of many diseases of freshwater fishes caused by external protozoan (single cell) parasites such as white spot disease, Ichthyophthiriasis, Costia, Trichodina, Chilodonella and saltwater external parasites such as Cryptocaryon and Amyloodinium. The medication can also treat fungal infections in fishes.

Broad Spectrum Diease Control is formulated differently than any other malachite green and formalin mix and is the ONLY malachite green and formalin treatment that can be used in water temperatures as low as 50 F, thus allowing you to treat in early spring and late fall.

Malachite green and formalin are two drugs that are more effective and less toxic in combination than when used individually. This is the definition of synergism. What makes Microbe-Lift Broad Spectrum Disease Treatment the preeminent product in this field is the fact that it is formulated with malachite green chloride, instead of the more toxic oxalate salt. As with any malachite green and formalin treatment, do NOT use with other medications. Broad Spectrum Diease Control will not interfere with biological filtration.

Features:

  • In fresh water controls Ich, Costia, Trichodina, Chilodonella and other external protozoan & dinoflagellates of fish
  • Also treats fungus
  • Treats 9600 gallons
  • In Saltwater controls Cryptocaryon and Amyloodinium
  • Will not harm biological filters when used as directed

Precautions:

The lowering of dissolved oxygen levels in treated water is often associated with the use of formalin or formalin-containing medications. Treated fishes should be carefully observed for any signs of respiratory distress. It should be noted that while increased temperatures will often shorten the life cycle of some disease-causing organisms, it will also cause a decrease in the dissolved oxygen levels of the water. Do not increase the temperature in tanks or ponds used for treatment, unless sufficient oxygen is assured.

Not to be used with salt over .15% salinity, at .15% salinity monitor fish closely and provide vigorous aeration.
